Obstacles: Success from a poor start is possible.

The failures multiply and if you give them room to teach you, they become your winning ticket. Some methods of getting to your target are not as far away as you think. It is those minor obstacles you might not have the power to erase that may stop you from reaching your destination. Just not being aware of the part of the city where you can get a certain ingredient may stop you from achieving your dream. Some of these obstacles happen to exist unnoticed by you until more failure reveals their existence.

After six years of trying to keep up with expensive laptops on my limited earnings ranging from $370  in 2020 to $539 in 2022, I switched to mobile. A refurbished smartphone costing just $35 performed better than a laptop in my earlier days on this blog and it adapted to my limited power supplies. Some obstacles come to an end not because you are finally able to get the things were not able to get before. When you can go without some other things and still manage to do better, you are said to be resourceful. The switch from trying to secure resources to being resourceful happens as you discover instead of merely seeing things in life.

In some wars that have been fought and won. The victors won thanks to patience. The Second Punic War and The American Revolutionary War are some examples. Patience wears down the unbearable of them all until it can’t keep up with trying to stop your progress. Through patience, you learn the weakness your obstacle has and act on it.

The battle to success is won in bit sizes. It is not like winning in a lotto. You need to get rid of one obstacle at a time. The opportunity of getting over the top of the situation is provided by the situation itself. Constraints and obstacles to your objective do not remain the same if you stay on the same objective. In just four years, technological advancements might have gone far enough to make it easier to achieve your goal. Your experience increases to levels where it becomes impossible to fail.

The perception is that if you start the very weakest you are bound to fail. But you are the perfect person to start your journey in. When you start poor you may have a benefit rare to others. For example, when you can’t qualify for a bank loan, you are destined to go through a path with more failure and learn the complicated art of self-financing and primitive capitalism. Those who get a bank loan lose it this way: The bank expects them to succeed in one try because it does not prefer to take their property and go through the hustle of selling it to recover the money owed. Failure has been known to teach its victims, and in the process convert the victims into the saved. If you are obliged not to fail, you may be destined to lose it.

There are cases of people who grew up in ultra-successful families who ended up getting broken emotionally when they failed to meet the standard of success their families expected. This should remind us all that it is not about how you started. Victories in our lives are all about permitting failure to be part of our lives. We need to learn from failure instead of getting grounded by it.

It is important to let people around to see a failing you. If you just do the right thing one day you will have a chance to prove that back then going down was your way of digging and setting your foundation for success. By default, some opportunities come through failure and it is your job to see that opportunity and learn.
