There are possibilities hidden in a sea of impossibilities. You make it harder for yourself to find the possibilities if you agitate the sea of impossibilities with frustration, danger, lack of hope and impatience. There are things to do to make patience work, other than hoping that something will just show up on its own as you wait. Patience is an undefeated thirst to conquer.
Have you ever been in a situation where after having done so much you feel as if you haven’t started: That perhaps you just can’t run this journey, you don’t qualify? This is because some breakthroughs are always so buried deep in crisis that it takes one second on a particular day to find them. From that point on everything becomes history.
The sea of possibilities we navigate requires us to explore it like we know that there is a miracle we need to discover within its depth. But while we explore it, we also need to have hope and wait for that miracle to show up. I have learned that most miracles happen when they are no longer worth being called miracles, but achievements—a standing ovation. Because it takes one last thing to be done right before you can march into the plain of success.
Most people watch where they are coming from, trenches and tunnels without any sign of gold. They give up. A few who would rather focus on where they are going do not quit an inch before they strike the gold. There is no right time to quit. You quit too early, you have not known what it is like to keep going. You quit too late, you have not known what lies a step further. Either way, you have lost your time and have nothing to show for it.
A promising start does not always mean a promising finish. A not-so-promising start does not always translate to a poor finish. When you venture into something think of yourself as an improving person in every second that comes to pass. Your ability to find the few possibilities in a sea of impossibilities will improve the more you navigate.
We make things impossible by believing that they are already impossible. When a being faces the same difficulty over and over what’s most impossible becomes possible. Difficulty is not by definition impossible. There is always a possibility of turning difficulties into possibilities.
Take note:
- The world is always taking a step further into crisis. Should you choose to see nothing but a crisis, your life will be a crisis indeed. Know how to manage a crisis.
- There is only one way to make it possible. That is believing that the impossible is not difficult and acting on it.
- You are the only person in this world who calls yourself me. You know your sense of direction better. Do not be fooled by any of them who suggest that you should quit and that you are pursuing a wrong goal.
- Delays are worth it. They may alter your definition of success and magnify the level of success you might land yourself in.
